Tomee has over 26 years of professional experience in organizational development, training, communications, professional development, anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity, inclusion, and strategic advice. As part of Tomee's ongoing work and research on issues related to anti-Black racism, she has developed staff guides to address anti-Black racism for clients, including community legal clinics. Tomee has also developed and delivered courses focused on addressing anti-Black racism. A diverse range of learners have taken these courses, including: * Undergraduate and graduate-level law students * Lawyers (Associates and Partners) * Articling students * Legal Clinic Students * Faculty members * Deans and Assistant Deans * Senior university leaders * Administrative Staff * Union members * Municipal employees Most notably, Tomee designed and delivered a 2-hour module, Understanding Anti-Black Racism: An Introduction for 1L JD students. as a Visiting Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, for the 2020-21 academic year. The module was a mandatory part of the Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community course. During her time at Osgoode, Tomee also taught Tools for Addressing Racism in the Legal Profession to upper-year students. She also provided a professional development session, Addressing Anti-Black Racism in Teaching, for faculty and graduate students. A similar session was delivered at the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor. Tomee has advised faculties of law at the University of Windsor, Osgoode Hall Law School, and the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Common Law Section on matters related to addressing anti-Black racism at the student and faculty levels.
